We provide a range of services to help private clients, companies and museums to care for their historic collections.
Conservation cleaning
Mandy has experience of cleaning a wide range of materials, from feathers and textiles to ceramics, glass and stone. Each item is carefully assessed before cleaning begins, with discreet tests made before cleaning.
Remedial conservation
With an MSc in Conservation Practice and several years of experience conserving a wide range of materials, Mandy has stabilised photographic materials, restored shattered ceramics and preserved paper documents.
Condition Assessments
Mandy has completed many condition assessments, ranging from detailed reports on ceramics for museum loan requests, to large-scale overviews of archives and archaeological collections. Condition assessments are completed onsite and bespoke detailed reports are provided to clients.
Preventive Conservation
Mandy began her conservation training with an MA in Preventive Conservation. She has installed environmental data loggers and Integrated Pest Management regimes, has helped with exhibition installations, and can advise on best preventive care for collections.
